Hi, I’m George Mayo.
It all started with one question:
“How can I help people truly break through and change their lives?”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by a deep need to help others. Whether it was talking people through hard moments, helping them build businesses, or just showing up when they needed someone—I’ve always found purpose in service.
But that drive didn’t come from comfort. It came from survival.
I grew up in a fractured home. My mother was abusive. My father was absent—and when he did show up, it was only because my sister was around. He loved her. I was invisible. That kind of upbringing doesn’t just hurt—it shapes you. I learned early how to depend on myself, how to keep going even when everything in you wants to stop. And I knew I had to escape.
The Army wasn’t just a career path. It was my ticket out—and it was the place where my childhood dream came true.
From the time I was a kid, I had one goal: become a sniper.
And I did—within my first year in the military. It should’ve felt like everything I ever wanted. But hitting my lifelong goal so early left me with an unexpected emptiness: Now what?
I didn’t know what to chase anymore. So I made a new commitment—one that would shape the rest of my time in uniform:
To become the best leader I could be.
Over the next 11 years, I led teams, guided missions, and helped others push past what they thought was possible. From earning the rank of Eagle Scout to leading soldiers under pressure, I lived in the space where growth happens—where people are forced to choose: rise up or shut down.
But nothing tested me more than life after the military.
I was set on a 20-year career. That was the plan. Then came the medical discharge—and in an instant, everything I had built my identity around was gone. I was left with anxiety, depression, and a haunting question:
Who am I now?
The breakthrough came in the most unexpected way: I signed up for life insurance. It had been weighing on me for weeks, and finally taking action on it—something so simple—cleared a wave of anxiety I hadn’t been able to shake.
That’s when I realized something that’s become the backbone of everything I do now:
Action creates clarity.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be big. But forward motion—any forward motion—breaks the cycle.
That idea sparked Action Path Coaching.
Before coaching, I tried to help people in other ways. I started a handyman business—both to serve and to find purpose. I built a credit repair business—giving people tools to rebuild. I launched a holiday lighting company—to bring joy and support my family. But none of it filled me the way I needed.
Because deep down, I didn’t just want to help—I wanted to change lives.
Now, I combine mindset coaching, battle-tested leadership, and a straight-talking, results-driven approach to help people break through the fog, get unstuck, and start living with real purpose.
This isn’t about hype. This isn’t therapy. And it sure as hell isn’t for people who just want to “talk it out.”
This is for people who are ready to take ownership—and take action.
If you’re tired of spinning your wheels, waiting for life to change…
Let’s make it happen—together.
My Approach
It all starts with a shift.
Maybe it’s a mindset you’ve outgrown. Maybe it’s a goal you’ve been putting off. Or maybe it’s just that feeling that something needs to change—even if you’re not sure what yet. Wherever you’re starting from, the first step is always the same: take action.
Clarify It
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be honest with yourself about where you are and where you want to go. We’ll clear the noise, dig deep, and get to the root of what’s holding you back. No fluff. No filters. Just truth.
Own It
This is your life. Your path. Your progress. My role is to help you see it clearly, map it out, and walk it with confidence. We’ll work through mental blocks, challenge the excuses, and build habits that actually move the needle.
Live It
Growth isn’t a destination—it’s a daily decision. You don’t need to wait for the perfect moment. You just need to start. And as your mindset evolves, so will your direction, your goals, and your life. You don’t have to do it alone.
Let’s take the first step—together.
